The Vantex Sherman has arrived, it's the gas powered version, I'm now obtaining the required rc gear, (TX, RX, Servos etc) so I can give it a run. Will post pics soon.

Re: 1/16 tanks
Had an answer about the Jagdtiger. Confirmed that Matorro is one of the brands under MATO and the Jagdtiger is not a Matorro product and the Matorro name/ logo use in connection with the Heng Feng product is inappropriate.

Re: 1/16 tanks
Aferg, the Aussie dealer was selling Heng Feng Jagdtigers, I have one. Interesting though, the ebay auction shows a Matorro logo on it. This is different to the box with Heng Feng's logo they were showing on Alibaba, who don't seem to be there anymore. Since Mato were responsible for the Matorro KT ...

Re: 1/16 tanks
I have one which is currently still stripped down as in the pic for a repaint. Have filled in the gaps on the turret front plate with plastic card and added zimmerit to match the tank's pattern. Of course you have the gearbox 'bulge' on the front and the turret mg mount is 'klunky'. I have 2 Tamiya ...

Thanks Aferg, I'm interested in those Schleich Romans in the link, how would they go with the BBI Romans? A bit smaller?
Thanks

Re: 1/16 tanks
There's the WaSan halftrack, otherwise you have summed things up right in the lower priced area. There are 1/16 figures coming too from Waltersons who have exclusive rights to a new line of products manufactured by Heng Long for them.

Re: opinions needed on a tree
I have some Schleich fir and oak trees, I don't think you'll regret getting some Aferg.
That reminds me to keep an eye out for some Schleich hedges, they look pretty good too.

Re: 1/16 tanks
We'll get to the bottom of the HL/Asiatam relationship....eventually. I ran a story a while back that Taigen were competing with Asiatam, that story line came from a retailer, but HL/Taigen were pleased (emailed me)to see the story/publicity and didn't see fit to correct me about the competition par...

Re: 1/16 tanks
Fair enough Your original point was that Taigen don't produce any metal parts and here we have a product with Taigen stamped on it. Asiatam sell a lot of HL products.

Well, I mean instead of showing the pic of the fret with Taigen stamped on it , they showed a pic of the parts installed.

Re: 1/16 tanks
Well the other parts don't come on frets with anywhere for a Taigen stamp.
Yes, Asiatam went to some trouble to disguise that.

Re: 1/16 tanks
Correct except there's nothing from MATO on Taigen tanks. Taigen is Heng Longs own in house brand of upgrade parts and tanks fitted with them.smittyrob64 wrote:because of the metal parts. It's a standard HL with a bunch of mato metal upgrade parts to make it a late Tiger.

Re: 1/16 tanks
It's in Trumpeters 2011/2012 and previous catalogues , downloadable versions are around. But they only show a pic of a real SU-100 so who knows how long it will be.
I wonder if Trumpeter will also do RC versions of the King Tigers?

Re: 1/16 tanks
Well if you can't get hold of a SU-85 Jnewboy, Trumpeter are planning a SU-100 so we might get an RC version released as a follow up. thanks for the glue tip Aferg. PSguy, why worry, collect first, upgrade later.... maybe.

http://www.imperial-modellbau.de/shop/pictures/items_img_big_18.jpg I got it from http://www.imperial-modellbau.de Although with mine the fighting compartment sides were separate pieces and required lots of work to get it all to fit together right. Re: 1/16 tanks
Nice detail, crud electronics. I converted my T-34 to Tamiya electrics and also converted one to an SU-85. I wouldn't mind getting the Tiger one day since it's a mid production Tiger.

Re: Skyworks....important information
OK I went and read the thread on the other board which supposedly is the whole reason to have a special 'sticky' hanging party here on this forum. It appears there is one guy pursuing a fraud claim and one guy with a paypal claim, (inside 45 days)

Googly it appears to me the ones defending Jack did take the time to point out their dealings with him. I just clicked on this thread thinking I would get some facts on what happened, but what I see here is as you say second hand bitching about other peoples supposed problems on another board, which...

You mean there isn't anyone here on this board with a problem? I did mention a competitor in my post, that would be Pickel.

Re: Skyworks....important information
Internet 'bullying' seems to be a valid point. What I see here is a whole bunch of people who have not had a problem themselves with Skyworks, (except for a competitor),sticking the knife in. Lets hear from some of those supposed many customers who were ripped off and maybe this thread would have so...
