Re: FOV UK Challenger II prices??

"Still, I wonder how prices on the older WWII vehicles will drop after the reborn FOV line is released with better toolings of the same tanks?" Older 1/32 FOV AFV prices will drop. But, they will not drop too drastically. There will always be collectors wanting to complete the collection. I too miss...

Re: FOV UK Challenger II prices??

It's seems over priced. If I did not have a loose Challenger, I would be willing to pay around $150 for loose tank and $225 for boxed tank.

Recently (9/28/17), loose Challenger was sold for $146 at UK. Speaking of over priced, someone is trying to sell damaged, empty Challenger box for $65.

Re: FOV Panzer IV Repaint - Finishing a 5-Year-Old Project

You inspired me to re-paint FOV armors. They will not be as professional as your tank. But, I suppose, you will have to learn how to crawl before walking.

Thank you.

Re: FOV Panzer IV Repaint - Finishing a 5-Year-Old Project

It looks great!

Question. Before you sprayed on the primer, did you strip off FOV tank's original paint? Or did you just spray primer on top of the original FOV tank paint?

Re: FOV Panzer IV Repaint - Finishing a 5-Year-Old Project

Bravo! I agree 100%. Even though I love FOV 1/32 armors, vast majority of them either have too much or too little paint. When I get a chance, I am also planning to re-paint them. These are looking good. Please keep us updated. I would love to see the progression and the final product. Thanks for sha...

That's really great night fighter. Thanks for sharing.

I am considering converting 1/32 BF-109 into a night fighter. Can you recommend any good 1/32 BF-109 night fighter decal?

Need advice on painting 1/16 scale WW2 German tank and weapo

Need advice on painting 1/16 scale German Tiger, King Tiger and metal weapons. I have numerous 1/16 RC Tiger and King Tiger tanks that are already painted by other collectors in ambush scheme (Non-oil based paint). I would like to add more details myself. Tanks are for indoor display purposes only. ...

Re: Shipping Idiots!

I agree 100% with everyone regarding sometimes USPS do its business illogically. However, I only use USPS for one reason, price. I sell many of my military diecast on Ebay (I won't discuss about this truly illogical company). From my past experience, USPS is almost always the cheapest option. UPS an...

Any military model painter for hire in Los Angeles area?

I hope this is the correct area for this inquiry. I am looking for military model builder who can realistically paint 1/16 RC armors in Los Angeles area. For now, they are 1/16 WW2 German tanks. If we can agree on the price, I will bring armors. A. For now, I can commission at least 8 armors such as...

Re: Repainting FOV 1/16 Tiger/Good idea?

Well, you would certainly hurt the value in terms of it being an piece in original mint condition, but it would still potentially have value as a repaint but the question would be then how much is it now worth? That is the question. The market price of this Tiger is $600-$1100 right now. If you saw...

Repainting FOV 1/16 Tiger/Good idea?

Repainting FOV 1/16 Tiger (85104, 1/16 Henschel Sd.Kfz.181 Tiger, sPzAbt 505, #312, Poland), is this a good idea? I have two of this Tiger. I am seriously considering repainting extra Tiger in ambush pattern by a professional model builder. I have used him many times painting 1/16 RC armors. His wor...

Re: Do you keep the empty boxes?

YES! Please keep all empty boxes. If you throw them away, you will regret it. When I started collecting 1/72 armors (and planes), I threw away all empty boxes. I just wanted to display armors (and planes). Fast forward to present, as an avid collector, sometimes your taste and priority changes. If y...

Time now 8:00pm PST

Right now, you may want to check out Ebay for couple of Heng Long Tigers. They are still available for $50-$60 range.

To search on Ebay, I just type in "1/16 Tiger."

Good luck .

1/16 scale WW2 soldiers: A. I bought FOV 1/16 soldiers and "Torro" soldiers. I have both FOV and Torro 1/16 soldiers. In my opinion, they are the same soldiers but sold under different brand. Bought it. Didn't even bother to take out the plane. But it looks good. It went straight to the storage boxes to be with other Corgi JU-88s. At this point, it seems like I am collecting boxes and not diecast. FYI. If you really want to buy it, then get it now from Pete's Collectible. He is having "E...

I just went by other items listed by the seller. Actual Gaincorp planes were listed as "Gaincorp." As an example, SU-47 shows different box than Gaincorp packaging. Therefore, SU-47 was not listed as Gaincorp. Since SU-34 was not listed as Gaincorp, I am assuming the plane does not have Gaincorp pac...

Re: Gaincorp SU-34 on Ebay for a 'Good' price

Actually, I have all Gaincorp planes. This SU-34 may or may not be made by Gaincorp. Even if it is the Gaincorp plane, the question is, is the plane worth $150? And knowing the market, I am afraid not many collectors will pay $150 for "something-like" Gaincorp plane. If you are happy with this plane...

Re: Gaincorp SU-34 on Ebay for a 'Good' price

Unfortunately, it's not Gaincorp (box).

It's may be Gaincorp SU-34 with a different box, or a kock-off. See SU-47 the seller is also selling. SU-47 looks similar to Gaincorp. But it's not Gaincorp box.

Caveat emptor.
