Solido made several diecast versions of the 1:18 jeep. SAS version was in tan and green. They used to be a good value for under $20 but I do not know what they are today!
Check out the SSHQ database for pics.

Re: I Miss Ultimate Soldier!
Miss them? I don't miss them as much as I miss the HUNT! Love the 1/18 scale. Not as large as the 1/6 (collected a lot) but bigger than 1/32 or 1/35 and these old eyes could see the detail! I bought everthing I could find, especially when WalMart discounted. I used to go into WM and TRU and KB Toys ...

I'd like to see some tents!
1/18 WWII/Korea era tents.
MASH tents, Division Headquarter tents, pup tents, equipment storage tents.
Vacuform them and give them some texture. Should be a cheap production cost? Do them in green and do them in tan for that desert look!

Re: 21st Century Toys Mourning/Cry Room.
AAaaaa...... I wasted more time running around at least once a week visiting local WalMarts. When my girls went off to College away from home, I had to visit their local TRUs and WMs to see if there was anything different from our area. Not really obsessed, just dedicated. My wife was not happy with...

Re: Poll: 1/16 vs. 1/18
I will stick with 1/18 ish scale as long as there are various figures and vehicles available (ie. BBI, Indiana Jones...other movie marketing toys), or I run out of pieces I have put away. I have enough boxed armor to keep me going every month for the next three years+. And when you get my age that i...

Cool, WACO Glider in resin would be nice!
But what about an L.C.V.P. Landing Craft?
Can we say H-I-G-G-I-N-S ?

Re: Why buy foam?
Has any one given any thought to Vac-U-Forming the outside walls and roof surfaces? I think some of the 1:32 buildings are done that way. I agree that casting can get expensive. I had even given some thought to using a paper mache' slur in a mold and squeeze out the water and let dry. This method wa...

You could easily customize the Cadillac to be Patton's 1938 model that was the accident car that led to his death. The car was repaired and is now in the George S. Patton Museum. Here is the a link with the story and some pics to get you started: http://www.pattonthirdarmy.com/HeidelbergTrip.html On...

Re: Interesting in 1/18 scale WWII ace fighter pilot
I'd like to see a bunch of 1/18 head sculps of famous pilots as well as high ranking military officers and maybe a few movie figures who played military personel in war films/series. Sorta Tom Hanks meets Vic Morrow, meets Alan Alda........ Seems that would be a good way to get more bang for your bu...

Re: British SAS Desert Patrol Jeep 1/18
Wow, great looking jeep. Looks even better than the Solido SAS Jeep! It's funny, because some time ago, I took a Solido SAS Jeep, stripped it and painted it to look like a battle worn ETO jeep. Never did complete it all the way, but now I am thinking of going back and finishing it and addressing the...

Well I got my package today with two German Soldiers instead of the two "sets" of six American Soldiers I had ordered. Called Best Services Stores and got the same excuses that they could not supply the order and would refund my payment and I could keep the two German Soldiers I received. Oh joy, jo...
