A couple of comments on the state of Armour. They are now pad printing everything, so the decals aren't an issue. Also, you can find most of the medium size fighters in the $50 range. I think this is a pretty fair price for what you get. They are definitely more imposing looking across the room at t...

Just to stir the pot a bit

The idea of minelaying wouldn't be that far fetched if you are in an environment where you are in line of sight of snipers and/or mortars and/or artillery. Given the mountainous terrain on the Italian Front, the Allies frequently had a line of sight well into some German held areas. If you saw a bun...

Defender

The modified exhaust marks its as a 500MD. The TOW sight is apparently missing. I've only seen this type of exhaust on the Kenyan Defenders.

Yes, but...

There is a big difference between the Defender and the AH/MH-6.

Arrgh

Why is it that all of the supposed "Little Birds" of late are actually MD Defenders? The US never operated this type.

Klaus..

I didn't get the Hmmerhead or LAV - just wanted to note what was listed on the Matilda box. So far, I've picked up the new M-1, M-2 and Matilda at Target Springfield and the Camo Sherman and White M-16 at Target Fairfax. There also appears to be new carded packaging for the figures.

Storage

About the best balance of space and economy that I've found are the "Billy" system shelves at Ikea. http://www.ikea-usa.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10101&storeId=12&categoryId=10514&langId=-1&parentCats=10104*10173*10514&cattype=sub They are much more modular than they pa...

RC Combat system

At the small end of the scale (i.e. not Tamiya's high-end 1/16 scale armor combat system) there are the little Takara tanks. It would seem that this is what Dragon would be interested in building upon.

1/35 Dragon Micro X

Very Interesting...

http://www.dragonmodelsltd.com/html/65501-01.htm

I heard on another board that Dragon may be looking at a RC combat system. If that means 1/35 RC armor with Dragon's accuracy and detail, it's a dream come true. :D
