Re: 1/32 Forces of Valor.Where are they? *UPDATE 3-11-2014*

It's Sunday morning For anyone who remembers the "All in The Family" theme song, here's a little take on it going out to all of us. Oh for (most) of the models from 21st and FOV we gladly payed. Armor and aircraft that (mostly) made our hit parade. Plastic and diecast nuts like us we had it made, th...

Re: what's the appeal of 1/72 tanks?

I really don't collect collect 1:72 armor anymore, I have a select "essential" FoV and Dragon pieces left, but I do actively collect 1:72 aircraft and it is the same deal. I'd say it has to do as much with space as how much detail tradeoff a collector is willing to accept. I am willing to sacrifice ...

Re: 1/32 Forces of Valor..Where are they?...I have answers

I agree with Snake. Less detail all around plus the die cast content decreasing while the prices increase just doesn't work for me. I have a lot of fine looking FOV vehicles from back when "Enthusiast Edition" actually meant something. Now "Factory Fresh Edition" would be more fitting.

Re: New Oxford 1:72nd Scale Releases Announced

You would be surprised how many more planes you can fit on a shelf having both ways. Yes I do this with Easy Model planes. The permanently extended gear on those doesn't annoy me, maybe because they are so cheap. I also display one on the shelf underneath another one that's on the stand, so y...

Cool, well if that's the case then I'm game. I just don't care for fixed extended gear, I prefer my aircraft to be appear to be in flight.

Hey Rows, on a side note, I decided to check out the Corgi Recon Spitfire PR XIX after seeing yours, and it's not at all like most of the Corgi Spits. Really crisp lines for a Corgi and very nice details like three clear camera ports, propellor markings etc. You barely blow on the five bladed prop ...

Re: Rowsdower's 1:72 Witty Wings Bong P-38 Review

Yeah, installing the gear doors and ordinance is a snap. You just snap the tabs into the slots and they snap right back out on their own five seconds later. Then you throw them at the wall. The white glue is a great idea Dauntless, I used to use that trick for canopy's on 1:48 aircraft kits. ...

Re: Rowsdower's 1:72 Witty Wings Bong P-38 Review

Good review, Rows. I have the Corgi Bong P-38, and my Witty are limited to a couple of jets. Does sound like a bit of a PITA to get ready for display, and know a few companies are guilty of this. Overall, it does sound pretty good, once you have it "assembled", but like you, why do I need glue? Exa...

Rowsdower's 1:72 Witty Wings Bong P-38 Review

Well I finally had time to put it together. The Good Over all a great looking P-38. The polished aluminum finish is really nice and the painting and printing is crisp and well done. The nose art of Marge on the nose looks great. Lots of detail in both the die-cast and plastic portions of the model. ...

Star Trek - Sealed DVD Box Sets - All 10 Movies - For Trade

I have two sets of Star Trek movies, all 6 with the original crew and and all 4 Next Generation films. These are in DVD format and sealed in the original plastic. I got these last year but I just bought the Stardate Collection on blu-ray plus they are just taking up valuable real estate on my media ...

That decking is pretty neat, thanks. It would be great if somebody made some figures in various poses so one could throw together a little dio.

Pre-painted 1:72 WWII Carrier Flight Deck Crew Figures?

I plan on replacing my Easy Model 1:72 Hellcat and Corsair with Diecast as I am now addicted and I prefer my aircraft wheels up. Anyhoo, I figured maybe I could make some sort of mini diorama of a WWII carrier flight deck and was wondering if anyone makes pre-painted figures since there is no way I ...

Re: Corgi Is Doing A Survey

Take a long hard look at the SkyMax Bearcat before buying one. This model has been severely criticized for its lack of wing dihedral, giving it an almost droopy look. If that doesn't bother you, than no problem. Thanks for the warning. Looking closely at some pictures I can see the problem. Having ...

Re: Corgi Is Doing A Survey

MRC will be doing a 1:72 P-61 :D On the new 1:48 scale plastic models, they show pictures of the P-61 on one side of the box. It is not out yet and I can't seem to find a picture of one using Google and there are none on ebay, even from China. I think Hobby Master could do a fantastic job with a P-...

As I recall, the Revell box had the rather interesting artwork of a couple of those bombers over an urban skyline, presumably New York City. If anyone has the book Luftwaffe Secret Projects: Strategic Bombers 1935-1945 , by Herwig and Rode, the AR-555 graces the cover. The plane is also shown on a ...

Re: Forces of Valor maybe pricing themselves out of the mark

I haven't picked up any FoV armour for a few years now. Although, I haven't picked up any other armour models, either. Although I agree that their prices do seem to be increasing, with a reduction in quality, and weathering, so it seems you are paying more for less. Not something you want to see. S...

Re: is forces of valor going out of business?

I just hate the fact that their 72 armor line stuff is now priced at $30 a pop! That what we were paying for the 32 stuff 5 years ago. Thank you! I really liked their 1:72 armor. The quality and detail was great for the price. I picked a lot of mine up at TRU, then they dropped the retail lin...
