Yeah the APC fits inside, I'll probably use magnets to help keep it closed.

Re: 1:18 Scale UD-4L Dropship Scratchbuild
Thanks guys! Yeah its been fun and challenging all rolled into one! Its modular so I can take most of the pieces off hence some of the spacing. Its too big to move otherwise!

1:18 Scale UD-4L Dropship Scratchbuild
Hey all! Not sure how many jump on this site anymore, I don't see much activity. Well after Hiya toys announced it would be making a 1:18 scale APC I got the idea to build a same scale dropship for it. It was a crazy idea and I did a bunch of research, drew up plans etc. Well after nearly 3 years it...

Re: The Hiya Toys Aliens APC is Awesome!!
After 2 years of having mine on preorder I got mine in April or May of this year I think. It does not disappoint.
The only miss was the paint job which can be corrected...I just feel I shouldn't have to after shelling out 250.

Great idea considering how many you'll have to do. Once I wrap my Cheyenne Dropship project I'm gonna tackle the Hind!

Those are great looking figures for a little more than $10 bucks a piece. I would love that company to do an Colonial Marines (Aliens) line. The Market is so starved for anything 1 18 unfortunately.

Well I heard a few weeks ago the HIYA Aliens APC were on the water. Just received notification from BBTS that it has shipped!! I really wasn't optimistic this would happen so I am pumped. Anyone else have it on order?

Re: RC Plane Talk
I know some of you use RC to fill the ranks. I personally am not interested in flying them but I took a chance from Banana Hobby and picked up the B2 Stealth Bomber for a reasonable price. While under scale I think it fits in pretty well. The surfaces are fairly smooth and you can't tell it is made ...

Progress is slow but hey it's progress. Still a lot of shaping and filling the gaps on the rough pieces.
.......and still waiting on the APC.

Re: 1:18 Aliens APC
It has been fun and challenging indeed. I have scoured the internet for good photos and reference material. But since it is a concept vehicle from a movie the reference pics I have found are limited. It has some difficult angles to re-produce so I purchased the small model from Neca as a better refe...

I believe I paid $250 when it first came out. Great bird except the landing gear (wasn't strong enough to hold up the jet).

Re: 1/18 scratchbuilt BR52 KRIEGSLOK, the German War Locomot
Stellar work...I love the complete scratch build projects. I have wanted to do a WW II German Locomotive for years.
Question-Did you scratch build the wheels or were those wagon wheels that were used.
I would love to get my hands on those templates. Again very nice work!

I would love the Quonset hut to show up at Big Lots. Last time I checked they had their version of the Blackhawk and Bunk sets....a very small selection so far. Hope to see a build up and new items for the Holidays.

A great offering from the Hasbro line. I imagine I will be grabbing one even with the extra $$ it costs. Can't believe it didn't come with a figure. I did see the Rogue One 4 packs at a Tuesday Morning store that included the Tank Driver for $10 FYI.

Thanks....a full unfinished basement provides a nice workspace and display area. Hoping to make some progress on the Dropship in the next few weeks. I want to finish before the APC is delivered. (fingers crossed there are no more delays).
