Re: skyworks web site
Pickel, what about the Tony you were working on? It looked great, do you plan on finishing it and offering a kit?

Re: skyworks web site
No, I'm not joking, but I'm not saying I am 100% correct either. All I am suggesting is anyone who feels they can make a mold from an existing model better do some research on copyright laws is all. I'm not referring to the use of specific historic vehicles, I am referring to copying the work Jack p...

Re: skyworks web site
I was wondering about copyrights as well. It doesn't sound right that you can make molds from items you purchased with intent to sell them unless you can prove you heavily modified them first, even if the company goes under. I would proceed with caution if that is your intent.

Re: B-25
Questions: -- You say you bought direct from the manufacturer in Czech Repub.? is this B-25 available here from a US distributor? I purchased my B-25 from Hobby Lobby several years ago, but it appears they no longer carry flying styro kits. I did some searching and I wasn't able to find any U.S. di...

Re: B-25
I am nearly certain that is the Flying Styro B-25. I have one myself, but they are hard to find now. I ordered mine from Hobby Lobby but they no longer list the kit. You may still be able to order one from Hobby Lobby or straight from Flying Styro. Hobby Lobby http://www.hobby-lobby.com/ Flying Styr...

Re: skyworks web site
I'm expecting for big discount if Skywork decide to do clearance. It will be interesting to see what happens, but I think his web site mentions selling everything as a large lot, molds and all. I'm not sure if Skyworks was large enough to have a stock pile of kits laying around waiting to be sold b...

Re: Poll: State of the Hobby
I really hope I'm wrong but I believe there will be a few releases every now and again but nothing like the golden era of 1/18. I am just glad I was around during that time period. I still remember the first time I saw a 1/18 109 and P-51 at toys r us. I was used to building 1/32 scale model aircraf...

0.0% That made me laugh. I love that you actually pinpointed the odds to a fraction of a percentage. That shows how slow this hobby is now. The sad thing is, you are probably correct.

Wait....what?
Maybe AllGo or BBI will buy the molds. I wonder what the odds of Admiral grabbing some of the molds are? I know, wishful thinking.

IMHO the 262 wins in a land slide. The P-38 would be next and the Stuka would place third.

?? struts? I think flyboy was referring to the landing gear. Struts are a commonly used term in the rc world for landing gear parts and I have seen flyboy post a few of his rc planes here. I have a set of Robart RoboStruts for my 1/8 scale Top Flite P-47 shown here http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-...

You could also try to remove as much paint as possible and use this product. http://www.wowplanes.com/product_reviews_info.php?products_id=130&reviews_id=23&osCsid=b6d6493665ae84c9c03050b655e2c390 I am not sure if it would work over the existing paint but you could ask them. I haven't tried it yet, ...

The F-104 has always been one of my favorite Jet aircraft. I was surprised and very happy when 21st released it in 1/18. I hope whoever holds the molds for the F-104 decide to release a few more repaints. I would definitely pick them up.

Re: Alum. foil tape covering.
I'm impressed with the finish you got...Wonder if you could do the whole plane that way? This is the product I use to cover entire planes. Works great but it shows every imperfection on the surface. If you use this directly over an unpreped plane, you will be able to see where all the decals are. I...

That is a very detailed paint job. Could you share the techniques you use? Brush, airbrush, rattle can, pastels, all of the above? Once again, very nice job.
