The people crying the loudest are ones that haven't even seen the real deal just pics on the intardnet. Yes the paint in the pics doesn't look all that hot, but every person that has seen it says it looks better in person. The detail looks fantastic so instead of being one of the many snivelers I'm ...

Sorry to hear that they are going out of business. I have Shangri-La and it is a very nice model. At $49.99 it would be a fantastic model.

I have a pre-order and I'm Happy with it, your poll doesn't mention that so I didn't vote. QTFT. I'm really sick and tired of hearing the whinning, no wonder the companies don't pay attention to us anymore. They probably get tired of it. I don't care if this thing had NO PAINT!, or painted like a d...

Nothing but good things to say about Aikens. :D

On another note I received an email from aviatornut and he estimated 12/5 as his ship date on the F14 iirc.

As long as I get my planes in 1/18 scale at a reasonable price I don't really care who's who or what's what for that matter, as long as no one dies. When dealing with products made in China that can be questioned at times. I don't know why everything has to be a conspiricy now a days. When in realit...

Looking at the pics on the jsi website the red color looks like red oxide primer. Which from my understanding would be the correct color.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, based on the photos of the JSI Corsair, I don't see a BuNo on it.
That wouldn't be very accuratre anyway. JSI could put any number on there. You would need to find it in a pic of the real plane, or a referance of it somewhere.

Yes, as far as I can tell that plane was kept in service. The only way to know for sure would be to have the BUNO # and access to the Navies archives. If you have the BUNO # you can do a google search and some times info comes up.

I think your reading to much into it. The Marines didn't fly one specific corsair say like VF-17 did, and even they (VF-17) would fly other planes on the flight line when they had too. My understanding was that the plane in question was an actual VMF-214 bird. The real question is if it was actually...

I like the desert tan 109G as well. It fits right in with my snake stuka, and RAF P40.

Of course I would like an eastern front paint scheme too. Hopefuly a black tulip something like this

I have both bbi p51's Old Crow and Hurry Home Honey and the olive drab on both is the same, or so damn close that my old eyes can't tell the differance. I think the 21st Old Crow is a little greener than either of bbi's examples.

That is crazy!
Actually that's cheap compared to what I have seen the spinach go for in the past.

PH the wallyworlds around here had tons of the Graf 109's as well. Seeing what they are going for now I wish I had picked up a few.
