Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I'm guessing they removed the solid color figures hoping that people who weren't pledging because of them would make pledges and push this thing over the edge in the last few days. It looks like it helped *some*, but not enough. 4 days to go, so I guess we shall see.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I always favored the Dragon 1:18 helmets for the Germans when I was still making a lot of customs, and then FOV was next. As for Marauder changing the uniform colors, I'm not too surprised. It became a rather forced point on many forums I visit, especially the GIJoe Hisstank forums. I figure they ju...

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
This is currently the only photo I can find online, but here is a Facebook link to the first pic of one of the German soldier figures. Unfortunately, that helmet is far too big it seems. It looks more along the lines of the M18 from WWI. Maybe someone has been playing too much Battlefield 1. https:/...

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
Yeah, I just grabbed a quick link that had a decent picture of some of their load out options. They're much cheaper from Marauder's page and via the Kickstarter.normandy wrote:Its very cool but at $32.00 a figure I wish them well.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
Here is a link to an eBay auction for one of Marauder’s current modern style figures. This is how their WWII figures are likely to be sold, as well. A base body with a head or two, and various pieces of modular equipment that will allow for a variety of load-outs to make a variety of soldiers. Prett...

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
They’ll be both cast in colored plastic and painted. They’ll be finished action figures similar to GIJoes.

Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
Marauder just posted the first image of the 3D sculpt for one of the figures planned for their WWII figure Kickstarter campaign, which launches early Feb. I know there was a thread in here somewhere that mentioned this, but I didn't see one that was specifically about it. If so mods, I guess you can...

Re: Modern US Soldier Figures from Tieka - Ourwar
A couple of months ago the seller from China who seemed to be the only one on eBay to have these in any quantity put them on deep discount. They were on for several years at the original price. I just looked and can't find any. There are 2 sellers with them listed as I type this. http://www.ebay.co...

Re: Modern US Soldier Figures from Tieka - Ourwar
Yeah, the OurWar Modern figures were pretty lackluster, even when they were originally made. The WWII Germans that they made were significantly better, though.

Re: 1:18 Alien with all accessories ready!
I ended up buying some of their Germans, and I was actually rather pleased; they weren't as glossy in hand as they had appeared in some photos. Regardless, I feared that this might happen, and that despite all of their gumption, that they might get shy when I came to doing a second wave (Russians, e...

Looking for BBI Elite Force and Unimax/FOV/Bravo Team USMC
Hey all, I'm currently looking for the 1/18 BBI U.S. 10th Mountain Ben Robinson figure and any of the 1/18 FOV/Unimax Marines with the balaclavas -- these guys were the late run figures from Target. There aren't any immediate reference photos for the masked FOV Marines, but here is a database link t...

Re: New BBI Modern Figures
Yeah, generic, but not plain head sculpts are really important in a line like this. The head sculpts on those Ourwar Germans was a major deciding factor in why I did not get them. Hopefully these heads will be easily removable.

I'm pretty sure that first seller is a guy who owns and operates a comic/collectible shop in my neighborhood. I sold something on eBay to that member, and then it showed up in that comic shop the next week.

Re: Ultimate Soldier XD returns in Lego Form
I'm sure that making these mini figs and brick pieces is also significantly cheaper than making highly articulated 4" figures. I wonder if whoever is behind this reinvention has some faint hope of turning this venture into a success and then turning it around into reviving the golden days of 21stC?

Re: New BBi
These have shown up in Louisville, Ky. I grabbed one of the NBC soldiers and the 5 pack. I'll probably get more as time goes, though. They're nice for the price, and though the paint is lacking, I don't mind repainting them.

Re: New BBi
Given that the BBi rep said they should show up this month (July), there's a change they may appear in stores during the "back to school" reset in August. That's what I'm hoping for.

No, the guy with the gas mask is one of the single carded figures named "Lt." He's second from the left, bottom row. He was an unreleased NBC soldier from back in the day.granch wrote:So, the "Cannonball" figure is not a bulldog, but a NBC soldier? I didn't see the gasmask...

Re: New BBi
I'm pretty excited about that NBC soldier, and the Marine with the M60E. Those were two of the unreleased figures I wanted the most. Granted, they'll both need a major repaint...but, still.

Re: OURWAR WW2 Germans on the way to US!
So, has anyone else picked these things up? I'm curious for a little more community feedback. I still think they look a little too rough to make a buy, but maybe if I see some quality mods done to them, or maybe them in a good diorama it'll change my mind. Thoughts? Does anyone else feel the same wa...

Re: OURWAR WW2 German on shelf Dec.13!
Okay guys, I've been corresponding with an American friend of mine who now lives in Beijing. He did a little research for me on these figures, and it looks like they won't be out until after the Chinese New Year, which is Jan 31st. Given that the celebration actually lasts for a couple of weeks, it'...

Re: New 1:18 for 2014 ?
Honestly, I think those new 1/18 Germans are a big morale booster -- or at least should be seen as such. If they do well, didn't Melvin suggest the company may look into making other WWII era figures as well? I think that's a pretty damn big deal, considering we haven't seen new WWII figures in what...
