Hard to find 1:18 scale

I did not think the B-25 would be available any time soon. Like most of you, I waited about 2 years for the Avenger release. I just found my Hellcat in August after looking for about a year. I was able to find most of the releases of new aircraft soon after hitting the stores, but It is getting very...

Hellcat at retail stores?.

I think it was about two months ago BCA had a notice up telling customers the Hellcat would be available from them first but a general retail release was expected by BBi. My local TRU has had the Corsairs and P-51's in stock so I hope to find a Hellcat one of these days. I'm in no hurry, I don't kno...

Best yet?

To me the best yet is the Avenger. When I walk into my room, it is the first to catch my eye. I also like the "Herman Graf" 109.

I agree with Googlydoogly a Hornet would help sales of 1:18 B-25's. To make it realistic, I project the carrier would need about a 178 HP marine engine and R/C radio with really big servos to drive the 45 foot long Hornet. This is silly, so it should be offered only as a static model.

It sounds like many of you have the same problem I do. Where do you put these things. I've been collecting since the 21C Blue Nose P-51 and have at least one of everything in 1:18 aircraft. However, bring on the B-25, I'll hang it on the wall in the family room. I'll take down the piture of Uncle Fr...

Did I miss when!

TKO, Did I miss when the B-25 will be avaiable? I'm sure 21C would not announce the B-25 or F-4 as far ahead as the Avenger, so I hope they will out during the 1st half of 2007. If they do a good job as they did with the release of the F-86 and Mig-15, can we expect them by early Summer?

If I was one of the "big Three" of 1/18 scale, I'd like to known how members of this board feel. The market should suggest what not to offer. I'd think we've seen enough P-51's, 190 D-9's, Stuka's and I think we have a good supply of F-86's around the country. We could use more Avengers in the midwe...

Bring on the Russians, I'd like to see one of the most numerous airplanes built during WWII the IL-2. A Yak 3 would be nice as well at the P-39 in Russian colors. I've seen some photos and the Russians had some colorful aircraft with slogans all over the sides. "Kind of like Flying bill boards."

Finally F-86's

Sunday afternoon I finally found the F-86-s at the WM in Normal, Illinois. I found 12 "Mitch's Squitch" stacked from the floor to the top shelve. I found a Mig 15 two weeks ago and my Me-262 was delivered last week. I feel empty becuase for the frist time since I've been collecting 1:16, I can't thi...

It's here

My 262 can this afternoon. What a beautiful paint job. I also like the antenna system, nice touch. I don't have it assembled yet, but it will hang from the ceiling in formation with my Graf 109.

No Migs F-86 in Central Ill.

I can't find a Mig-15 or F-86 in Centrall Illinois. Over the week-end I went to Ohio and stopped at a gas station in Greenfield, Indiana. Saw a W-M and said "What the Heck" may I'll find them. Well I found the North Korean (3) and Chinese Migs (2). Now if I can just find the F-86!

It's dry in Illinois

I keep reading about you happly people who have found Migs and now F-86's. I toured three Central Illinois W-M's this morning (Peoria, E. Peoria and Washington) looking for these birds. Still nothing. How about Bloomington or Springfield? anybody found Jets in Illinois? I'm willing to travel to find...

So dry around here

Yesterday I had the day off so make a loop of the area W-M's looking for Mig-15's. Nothing in Peoria, Pekin, E. Peoria, Morton, Galesburg or Washington. In fact, the Avengers found in Washington are also gone.
has anyone found Migs in Illinois?

Me262

I called BCA yesterday to convert my Avenger order to the Me262. The gentleman I talked to was very nice and told me there were some Avengers built and shipped, but not to BCA. He did not offer who the customer was, but it will be interesting to see who will get them. Any bets the price will go up b...

We need to get over it!

We need to get over the Avenger and shift our efforts to what is coming next. According to AT's website, we should be seeing the Me262 very soon. Now that will be cool.

I guess the only source of information about the Avenger delay will have to come from BCA's website. RKO, why won't 21C talk to us? Are we not the ultimate customers?

don't be offended

I'm Happy to see any new announcements and releases from 21C. TKO and 21C should not be disappointed if the reaction to new announments is mixed. It has been about three years since the announcment of the Avenger and we are still waiting. We have also heard about the new F-86 and Mig-15 but with no ...

Any ETA on the 21C F-86 or Mig 15

I was into "Area 21" and saw some very interesting pics of the 21C F-86 and Mig-15. They look good and appear to be far along in the development. TKO, maybe I missed it, but, any intel on when we can expect them?

like most of you, I've been waiting for the Avenger since my hair was brown. I ordered the Bunker Hill and figure I can wait an addtional 30 days or so for delivery beyond the Atlantic version. I've moved the Cobra Helicopter to the wall to make space on a shelve for the Avenger next to the BBi Cors...

Hellcat would be cool. I'm running out of air space on my ceiling so folding wings are good. I got the BBi Corsair on one shelf and space on another for the Avenger. (If it ever shows up.) Hey, I'll buy a Russian fighter with a female pilot.

I don't think even 21C has a clue when the Avenger will show up. The Chinese take Feb. off for new years. TKO felt the Avenger would be out before the "snow quits flying" and BCA feels midyear. I wish 21C would be honest and just give us good delivery information. What is wrong with that?

I love em all with the BBi Corsair in 1st place. BBi Mustang in 2nd, 21C Graff 109 in 3rd. I'd like to see a Hellcat and a Me262 to fill out my top five.
