K&C.. I was wondering where that universal carrier came from. :-) I have that on my Fall to do list.

Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?

"Perhaps more optional arms and legs molded in various positions like a few offerings did." <- this! I didn't realize how spoiled I was by 21st Century and Dragon fixed arms and legs. Even with Hasbro class articulation from Marauder some poses like aiming down sights on a rifle are near impossible.

Re: 1:18 Panzer I project - New pics 4-19-2020

What material is used for this model? Thank you NSA. It's a challenging project but it's looking good so far. Josef, the majority of the parts are plastic. The main body will either be plastic or a plastic/carbon fiber blend. I'm testing options now to try to balance the right mix of durability, de...

Re: 1:18 Panzer I project - New pics 4-19-2020

I missed the April deadline which is frustrating. I am getting a better sense of how this little lady will come together. Here is a preview of one of the pages from the assembly instructions to give you a sense. Note that many of the small details and parts have been removed to make the visual more ...

Re: 1:18 Panzer I project

The running gear turned out great. This Panzer I kit is designed to be an easy build. There are square sockets on the back of the running gear pieces that snap and hold (with CA glue) into the square sockets of the tub. Takes about 2 minutes per side. https://i.imgur.com/EzyW0Iyl.jpg https://i.imgur...

Re: 1/18 Sherman Question

I made towing shackles for the various 1/16th tanks from Heng Long, Tamiya, Taigen, etc.. They've been pretty popular. https://images4.sw-cdn.net/product/picture/710x528_18372519_10800039_1491587969.jpg https://www.shapeways.com/product/RZGLM996K/1-16-sherman-tank-towing-shackles-style-i I also scal...

That's very cool. How do you make such clean chassis cuts? That's what's always held me back from doing more of this.

Good question YT. Production is on track and I have everything I need to finish the kits. Unless something comes up or the government needs to implement a priority only shipping mandate we should be good.

1:18 Panzer I project - New pics 4-19-2020

I made a Panzer I for myself several years ago. I recently decided to re-make the kit. My in-house equipment has evolved quite a bit since then. Those of you who have purchased recently items can attest. This offer is only valid for SSMHQ members. Here is the original version: https://i.imgur.com/1U...

Re: Replacement parts wish list

Good questions. I made full set of tracks for my Panzer I and they turned out well. The biggest challenge was connecting them all together. I've had great results lately with snap fit parts which you see on several of the heavy machine guns like the Nambu and the Maxim. Let me see if I can adapt tha...

Good question. That last batch was mainly based on requests from the community.

I still have a number of partially finished items that I committed to complete by months end so there will be a bit more released over the coming days.

Very cool Normandy, did you have to extend the body to make it a "middle" Horch?

Also, here are the MG rollbar and wheel covers I mentioned:

Re: Replacement parts wish list

When the Troop Car first came out ten years ago I came to the conclusion that it most closely resembled a Stoewer R200 which was a light PKW Kfz.1 so that's what I converted mine into. https://i.imgur.com/442STCs.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qtERZs0.jpg Actual Stoewer R200: https://i.pinimg.com/originals...
