Hellcat Assembly
Assembling the Hellcat was Extremely scary!!! I was attaching the wings trying to fit the pegs on the wing hinges into the slots on the fuselage, and wondering how I was going to apply pressure without destroying all the delicate pitot tubes, radar masts and movable control surfaces. Fortun...

Hit and Miss
I've been true only to 1:18 with the aircraft, but 1:32 vehicles would be: Favs: FOV King Tiger FOV STUG III 21st Sherman Firefly without camo (at last!!!) 21st Opels (don't laugh, they're very well done) Duds: FOV M4 Shermans (the casting is good, but that pitiful paint...) 21st M4 Shermans (the ca...

toysnswords
Aferg (or anybody who orders from toysnswords.com) be forwarned, they are a strange bunch. I received no order confirmation, no shipping confirmation, nothing. Then suddenly about a week after I ordered the charge appeared on my credit card and I received it a few days after that.

Finally
Finally got a Hellcat via Toysnswords.com for $39.99 plus $10 shipping. It'll show they're out of stock, but they're not. Anyhow, color me impressed. After seeing the quality of this jewel, I'm going to have to get a BBI Corsair to replace my 21st Century one. Great job BBI!!!

Opels
I FINALLY picked up a Maultier on vacation in Tennessee (have yet to see one in Alabama) and color me impressed. Much nicer than the Prime Mover, they did a masterful job on the cab. Best I've seen out of 21st on a 32x vehicle since their early Stuart, Hellcat, and Sdkfz 222. Now I need a Opel Blitz...

schizuki I enjoy your reviews, and I really don't care if they are in seperate posts or not. Keep them rolling on in. I am luck that I don't have to worry about my gums yet... I agree with the FoV skin color, I re-paint my skin with Tamiya flesh tone and the look more human. Meskary Ditto for me to...

The Jumbos were Shermans, usually with 75mm guns, with super-thick armor on the front of the hull and turret. I've been clamoring for something like this for awhile, but it doesn't look quite right. It's not "square" enough for a Jumbo, it's far too big for a Firefly turret, and it seems a bit off o...

Well, going back to the original subject, since 21st is sooo intent on making money (fancy that!) and German vehicles sell the best, then why haven't they produced a Hetzer, which can then be morphed into a PzKw 38(t) and a Marder III later? Plus these vehicles are relatively small = easy to package!

Sears catalog died not because of lack of business, but because of lack of business sense. The year before it went belly up I tried to order a bean-bag chair. To make a long story short, after 6 months of trying and failing, their Customer Service called to verify our satisfaction with the chair (th...

Re: yup
I remember when passing TRU in the car was like passing Disney or something...no chance you were going in but there it was in all its glory...and the off chance you earned a trip outside of the holiday season was an absolute coup... :D Now there's a perfect description of how it was! And I don't ju...

I think we are witnessing the death throws of TRU. It’s been coming for some time now. I hope they can pull it back out but I think they are just destroying there selves now from the inside out. I couldn't agree more. They gut their software section and then wonder why people don't buy any th...

McFarlanes' figures are a work of art, I already have six and intend to get more. Oh but if they'd branch into WW II!!!!! For 1/32 scale, I'll take any company who can 1. Paint G.I.s with at least semi-historical colors (are you listening 21st and FOV?) 2. Utilize realistic poses instead of the stan...

"Blond Angel" P47 razorback was my first 1:18 plane, but it was the only one where the oversized cockpit bugged me. It just didn't look quite right. Now I finally got a bubbletop Eagleston, and I'm in love. Go for a bubbletop Eagleston first (I say Eagleston because I'm familiar with it), and then (...

Re: gear
I really wish they would release those 30 Cal boxes with the next wave of figures instead of the 50 Cal boxes. Most importantly, the 30 Cal boxes fit nicely in the rack on the side of my halftrack 8) On a side note, if there is anyone left who collects armor and does not have the bbi Sherman please...
