Thanks for the news. Does the kit have the option to build an

Some painted 1/72 soldier sets from Dragon would be great! I know Forces of Valor are coming out with their own, but until they hit the shelves, we won't know how good the quality will be. We'll just have to wait until the Dragon Expo to see what is revealed... 8)

Looks like Dragon is now Spit'n them out...

Dragon has revealed their own 1/72 die cast Spitfire: http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=DRW50123 A Malta Spitfire Vb is nice, but Corgi has already released their own Spitfire Vs. It would have been better if Dragon released late war Spitfires or other variants that no one else has...

New Dragon F-14 VF-41, Gulf of Sidra 1981

Here is the F-14 that I have been waiting for: http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=DRW50130 I like to collect die cast planes that represent those that have flown in combat, so this Tomcat is right up my alley. 8) Another F-14 I would like to see is an Iranian one that flew against I...

Can you please give us a review of the IXO Jack? I'm curious about the quality, detail, and if they wrote anything on the bottom of it.

I would buy it if the paint and details are crisp, and that it wouldn't be too fragile.

Applying Swastikas to the tails of Dragon Me109s & Fw190

Has anybody tried to add Swastikas to the tails of Dragon's Me109s & Fw190s? Would decals you find in model kits work? Since you are applying them to a painted metal surface, what would be the decal solution to use?

Hey Lightning! Funny that you mention that. Back in October 2003 just before Dragon released their first 1/72 Me109, I asked Scott Crawford, one of the head honchos at Dragon about the lack of a swastika on its tail. The following is my question, followed by his answer: Hi Scott, I was looking at th...

They look great! One reason I prefer Corgi over Dragon when it comes to German planes is that Corgi puts swastikas on their tails.

Heck, I'd love any 1/72 tanks and vehicles from the Afrika Korps.
Desert Yellow Panzer II, III, IV, Tiger, Halftracks, Kubelwagens, Opel Blitzs... I'd especially love a German 88mm AA/AT gun with all the bells and whistles! :D

Still, with this being a special piece, you would think Dragon would go out on a limb with a swastika on the tail.

Entire 1997 CDC 1/72 Catalog posted at Mike's Tanks

Mike posted the entire 1997 CDC catalog at his site: http://www.mikes-tanks.com/CDCCatalog.htm Even though its a shame that the 2.5 Ton trucks, US Halftracks, and the Opel Blitz trucks were never released, we can always wish that Dragon or FOV will release better detailed and cheaper versions of the...

New WWII 1/72 Fighters from IXO

I received an newsletter from On Mark International the other day about a new line of die cast 1/72 WWII fighters by IXO. They showed pictures of a J2M3 Jack Corsair Stuka P-51D P-38J Dewoitine D.520 A6M5 Zero Mosquito Fw190D Spitfire V Bf109G-10 Hurricane They also listed future releases: Mikoyan G...

Thanks for the link. That T-34 is looking good! 8) I guess early in the war the Russians had their tanks camouflaged. I'm glad Dragon is making their WW2 bombers in 1/144 scale. They will look nice next to Corgi's 1/144 B-52. :) The Wildcat, Hellcat, P-51B and the other planes all sound great. Can't wait to see the pics! 8)
