Re: me-262 yellow 7/ pic
My question is, what's the huge wooden structure under the 262? There is also some burnt wood, but it appears in front of the intake, not at the back (where you would expect burning). Maybe it was another act of sabotage at the assembly plant. "Hey, lets just bolt the entire airplane backwards". Cou...

Re: FIAT 500A 1939 requisitioned by Whermacht
Interesting Model. I just saw an ad for a 1/35 scale one in an Afrika Korps Scheme. If you can get hold of some masking tape, you could try masking that top canvas section off and giving it another coat (just to crisp up the edges). If you've never tried applying a wash, you should give it a go! Wil...

The Kit should be at home when I get back from work.
I'll post some pics this weekend.

GPXD site doesn't load sometimes (SQL ERROR [ mysqli ])?
I've noticed that every now and then this website doesn't load, and it comes back with a "SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]" page.
It only happens with this site (other sites load fine).
Could be something, could be nothing.

Re: Corsair replacement wheels coming soon.
Hey Rudedog, to be honest I haven't done anything since my last post. The wheel kits are ready to go, but the hold up is my current finances ( ). I've only just returned to work after 5 weeks holiday which has also been reflected in my bank account. I also just checked and the cost of shippin...

Corsair replacement wheels. Available now.
Currently working on these replacement wheels for the 21st Corsair. They are more correct in their thickness (as accurate as the original drawings I measured off). These will screw straight into the current struts using the existing screws. I originally did these, as my current Corsair's landing gea...

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION
Pfeil, for photos, you have to use a website like Photobucket or Webshots (there are others, just google "photo hosting"). We cannot upload photos directly from a hard drive onto this website, so a photo hosting site will act as a "middle man". You just upload your photos to the photo hosting site, ...

Re: 1/18 Huey B from JSI exclusive for Merit International
I'm definitely interested in getting one. I now have three models which I want to add to the collection: Tomcat, Dauntless and now this Huey. Only factors are money (Especially because of the shipping rates there days). Edit............Oh, and the upcoming 190A.....man, I better start a savings acco...

......................or you could just fill all the engraved panel lines, paint the model, and then just draw in the lines with a fine pencil.

Re: Little Weathering Work On 21st CT Hellcat
It's my own idea of using pencil led. Ahh! I was wondering why the edges of the panels were dark, but not the actual indented lines themselves. While I do like bringing out the panel lines, you guys are right about the lines usually being too deep and wide. Making the lines over exaggerated. If you...

Re: Little Weathering Work On 21st CT Hellcat
.......I was thinking it could do with a "wash" to bring out the panel lines. Not a black wash, but a grey tone to just bring the lines out a bit more perhaps.

Re: Corsair Tire Tread Pattern question.
Hey Axis, How is the forward facing landing gear door fixed?
I gather it's obviously not fixed directly to the gear strut because the gear swings though 90 degrees as it goes up/down.
Is the door attached in such a way, to allow the strut to rotate around a collar or something?
