Scalemates! Only recently discovered them. I need to keep them in mind more often.
Funny though, it describe this as 2020 initial release new tooling!!! I'm assuming they mean as a kit.

Sure looks like the old 21st Century molds, even down to the incorrect cable cutter introduced in the 80's by Bristol of Canada.

Think someone just put on decals on this or something? Looks like it, or hand painted. The Hoghead II has a 40mm grenade launcher mounted on the nose. You can see the scar where it was removed just under the red cross. The red crosses themselves are way under size. http://www.sshqdb.com/18/displayi...

Both are ID'd as Skyworks Toys. Have they returned?
Edit:
Never mind, read the description. These were done years ago when the Tomcat was first released. Whew, crisis averted.

Re: Airstrike Toys?
He'd contacted myself and others offering a full refund, including shipping, as well as prepaying the return shipping for the Corsair, the lawyering was that intense. It was only after his own lawyer reminded him that he doesn't use 21c or Admiral only BBI who was fine with his using their models. A...

Re: Airstrike Toys?
I currently have Series 1 number 5 of his FAA Corsair repaint. Based on the work he did I introduced Patrick to this forum. Almost immediately both 21c toys and Admiral served him with a cease and desist, however since he only used BBI's models to base his repaints on 21c and Admiral was unable to s...

Thanks for the kind comments. Please forgive my not responding directly as they came in. It's just that I've learned how awkward I,ve become when commenting on the computer and try not to so much. Here's the rest of the downstairs collection, also mostly older stuff. http://i161.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: How about showing your collection
Most of these are old photos, not much different now other then even more cat hair for scale. Most of the modern 1/18 ac aren't shown here, most photos were taken for a 1/6 group. The ones showing figures with the red/white armbands, cap badges, etc are Polish Home Army. The last two show my next pl...

I think the aircraft during this war are as unexpected in many ways as they were during the Spanish civil war. Both periods are fascinating.

Not certain, of course, but I think it means that the molds are being tested for any corrections that need to be made for the final production. This is to insure there are no short shots, part shrinkage, etc.

Re: What Might Have Been Or What Could Be....
Not to get the Jack at Skyworks thing going but I just want to state an opinion which I had not heard voiced previously. I do not think that Jack was EVER the one doing these custom models. I am very sure it was his father and Jack was simply taking credit for it. Do you think that it a coincidence...

Re: WHERE IS THE F-100 SUPER SABRE ?
Patrick from Air Strike toys did the custom paints of Corsairs & HellCats. I got one of each and he did some nice work. John I picked up one of Patricks FAA Corsairs, and love it. Shame he isn't doing his fine work anymore. :( Love his work. The last time I'd talked with him he confirmed that he is...
