The folding wing mechanism on all the Avengers I built and set up when first displayed (around 6 or 7 iirc) were sturdy and didn't suggest that they'd break unless forced.

WE, Magilla and I, plan to use steel expansion screen. It's very similar to what Flayrah describes, but with slightly larger holes. Granted, it's not proper Marston Matting/PSP, but it weathers beautifully and when shot at an angle looks pretty good. Very affordable, and a suitably sized and believa...

Kim, just sitting here without it in front of me, I'm going to say it's 8 AAs and one 9volt. I think that's what I rememorate.

I dismantled mine to R/C the 1/6 kettenkrad.

Best bang-for-buck buy in 1/6dom. The skirts were intended for N Africa use, and once the machines were redeployed to Europe, problems arose with debris getting trapped under same skirts and popping tracks. A directive was passed to have all skirts removed. If you follow the recessed lines, and use ...

Dismantling the tank will reveal some telling secrets. Just a few screws. All sealed/shallow hatches are plugged with easily unscrewed covers from the inside. You can also remove the feature that moves the barrel up and down. While apart, if you're going to open the hatches up, try using some plasti...

What, exactly, would you like to know? I've had one for a while now. I will be using it to make a 1/6 PzIII R/C eventually. I don't have anything in 1/9, except a "Robin; Boy Wonder" from the 70s (Mego). IMHO, it's almost too much toy. A huge beast. Of all the 1/6 R/C vehicles by 21st, it has the fa...

It's a fairly easy operation to remove the feature that actuates the gun-moving-thingy.

For a group that is notorious for it's often irrational insistence on accuracy, I can't help but notice some glaring, bald-faced hypocrisy here. Let a paint scheme miss by a bit, and it's up-in-arms. But, add a completely fictional alien figure and it's A-ok. What if your Father, Uncle or Grandfathe...

The "adult collector" is a great minority in the market. Especially in terms of product on shelves at WalMart, the impulse buyer or "Mommy, me want that", is much higher on the food chain. Toy companies are constantly beseiged with "adult collector's" wants and desires, with corresponding "perfect a...

Avenger Review *Some Pix*

Last week, I helped man the 21st booth at the IHobby Convention in Los Angeles. I was lucky enough to be the one to assemble and present the new Avenger in its various paint schemes, and give an honest opinion of it. After the Con, I was allowed to bring one of the test shots home for further review...

21st is still very optimistic about an end-of-year release. Like I said, I've had several of these inhand, and can honestly tell you that it is VERY close to release. The refinements are minor tweakings and addition of smaller parts that weren't quite ready for these test-shot shipments. I see these...

It would be advisable for those truly concerned to research "copyright", "licensing", and "intellectual property" for starters.

Aside from the obvious nose art, any applied aesthetics, after mandated military treatments, can be argued as being "art" by the individual, and can be protected.
